Design clock

Sturdy

Sturdy

Sturdy owes its name to the straightforward housing of steel plate.

However, a delicate touch has been added to this Time after Time design in the form of the nostalgic dial and the dainty clock hands.

In Jacob's experience many people still have an emotional value attached to an old mechanical clock sitting idly in their attic. In this clock the clockwork is not visible, allowing the use of optically less interesting mechanisms in a new, contemporary design.

Clockwork

For this particular model of 'Sturdy', an antique but derelict and incomplete French Comtoise from ±1850 was refitted including the parts of the striking mechanism. Movement with anchor escapement and compulsory striking at the full hours.
